The Duchesne County School District
is a firm believer in geothermal heating and cooling. The
Tabiona School is the third school in the district utilizing
geothermal heating and cooling. The school originally used
a coal fire boiler and had no cooling system. The geothermal
loop field consists of 70-400ft. directionally drilled loops
underneath the baseball and soccer field. The loops were
drilled to a depth of 15-20 ft.
